Donatello convention sketch

A sketch of the smartest Ninja Turtle, from Chicago Comic Con 2009. I've really been wanting to do a calm, serene sketch of Donnie since the NECA TMNT figure came out. All the other Turtles had their massively exaggerated facial features (Leo and Raph looked pretty enraged, while Mikey seems to be one something), and good ol' Don was just kind of content to be there. For some reason, that really appealed to me.

Oh, and I'm old school, so the turtles have tails. I'm cool with the different colored headbands (I actually wish NECA would rerelease the TMNTs with the cartoon-colored bands. They'd make a mint), but turtles without tails just looks weird to me. And you've gotta figure it's because the TV execs were worried they'd look like little turtle dongs dangling down there.
